(“AWR”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your Personal Data hereinafter referred to as any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, whether directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as name, ID number, location data, or an online identifier (”Personal Data”).
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and otherwise process your Personal Data when you visit our website, download or use the AWR Automotive Charge+ mobile application, locate or use our EV charging stations, make payments through the application, purchase or use our products or services, interact with us via any medium, or otherwise communicate with us in any way or form (“Platforms”).
We process Personal Data in accordance with applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), where applicable.
By registering or using our Platforms, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and are specifically and willingly consenting to the use of any personal information you have provided to us as set out herein in this Privacy Policy
Our Platforms are not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from, individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with Personal Data through AWR Automotive Charge+, please contact us using the details in Section 14.

The information we may collect from you includes:

Identity Information: Name, address, email address, contact telephone numbers, passport copy, visa copy, Emirates ID number, trade license, power of attorney, third-party no-objection letters, and undertaking letters.
Financial Information: including your AWR Automotive Charge+ wallet balance, top-up history and charging session payment records
Vehicle & Customer Data: Information provided during test drive bookings, vehicle purchase reservations, down payments, or trade-in evaluations, and, for AWR Automotive Charge+ users, vehicle make, model and registration details linked to your charging profile
EV Charging & Location Data: Real-time or approximate device location (used to locate nearby charging stations), the identity and location of the charging station used, session date, time, duration, energy consumed (kWh) and session cost.
App and Device Data: Device identifiers, mobile operating system, app usage data, crash/diagnostic logs, and push-notification tokens used to send charging status alerts (e.g., session started/completed, low wallet balance).
Background Check Information: Date of birth, official photographic identity confirmation, and copies of documentation required for compliance, Know Your Customer (KYC), or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks.
Technical Information: Information relating to your use of this Website (for example, domain name, IP address, and cookies), and, for the mobile application, equivalent technical identifiers and app analytics
Voluntary Information: Any information you independently choose to provide to us (such as emails, website inquiries, or phone calls).

We may collect your information during the course of our relationship with you, and we will only use your personal information in accordance with applicable UAE data protection laws.

We may obtain this information from a variety of sources, including:

Directly From You: When you make an inquiry about our products or services, make a down payment through our Platforms, register for or use the AWR Automotive Charge+ application, grant the application permission to access your device’s location or camera (e.g., to scan a charging station QR code), top up or use your in-app wallet, send us emails, or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
From Within Our Group: From other group companies, subsidiaries, or affiliates.
From third parties: Including business partners, service providers, vehicle manufacturers, marketing partners, finance providers, charging hardware/network operators, and payment gateway providers, and other third parties where permitted by applicable law.

To provide you with information about our services, promotional offers, and other information that we believe may be valuable to you.
To process your payments, including AWR Automotive Charge+ wallet top-ups and pay-per-session charging payments
To locate nearby charging stations for you, show real-time station availability, and manage and record your charging sessions.
To send you service and transactional notifications relating to your charging sessions and wallet (e.g., session start/stop, receipts, low-balance alerts).
To respond to your queries or comments.
To review, develop, and improve the services, digital platforms, and customer experiences we offer.
To manage customer relationship records and follow up on inquiries.
Payment transactions will be processed through verified third-party payment gateway providers. All credit/debit card details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased by our payment gateway providers to any third parties.

To provide you with information about our automotive services, products, and updates that we think may be valuable to you.
To fulfil our contractual obligations, including processing your vehicle down payments and booking requests, and providing the AWR Automotive Charge+ charging and payment services you request
With your explicit, granular consent (given through your device permission settings), to access your device’s location in order to locate nearby charging stations.
To respond to any queries, requests, or comments that you may have.
To review, develop, and improve the services which we offer.
To comply with statutory and legal obligations within the United Arab Emirates.

We will only disclose or transfer your personal information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy to:

Third-party service providers, payment gateways, and sub-contractors who provide operational services to us (however, we are not responsible for those third parties’ respective privacy policies), including AWR Automotive Charge+’s charging network/hardware operators, cloud hosting and app infrastructure providers, and payment processors
Any member of our corporate group, including affiliates and subsidiaries.
Any competent judicial, government, or law enforcement authorities if we are legally required to comply with a valid request for data.
We will reasonably instruct such parties process your personal information in accordance with our instructions and with an adequate level of protection.
We require such third parties to be engaged under written data processing agreements or equivalent contractual terms imposing PDPL-consistent confidentiality and security obligations, and we take reasonable steps to review their handling of Personal Data on a periodic basis.

Please note that our Platforms maybe hosted on servers located in various jurisdictions, and certain of our affiliates, service providers and other third parties may be located outside the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including in jurisdictions that may not provide an equivalent level of data protection.
By accessing or using our Platforms and providing your Personal Information, you expressly acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, processing, storage and transfer of your Personal Information within and outside the UAE for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You further acknowledge and agree that your Personal Information may be accessed by our affiliates, service providers and other authorised third parties where necessary to provide our services or otherwise fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Where we transfer your personal information outside the UAE, we will implement appropriate contractual and technical safeguards designed to ensure a level of protection comparable to that required under the PDPL, and we will take reasonable steps, to the extent practicable, to ensure that such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws. You may withdraw your consent to such cross-border transfer at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 14, subject to our ability to continue providing the relevant service.

Cookies are small pieces of information that your browser stores on your computer or device when requested by a website. We request your browser to store a cookie when you access our Platforms to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and analyze our traffic. For more details on user rules, please review our Terms of Use.
We use Firebase Authentication Tokens to securely authenticate users and manage user sessions. Upon login, Firebase generates authentication tokens, which are securely stored on the user's device and used to authenticate requests to our backend services. These tokens are automatically refreshed by Firebase as required, allowing users to remain signed in across app sessions. We may use information associated with the authenticated account, such as the Firebase User ID (UID), email address, and applicable account claims, to verify identity and provide access to Application features. Users may sign out at any time to terminate their session
The AWR Automotive Charge+ mobile application may also request device permissions, such as location access (to locate nearby charging stations), camera access (to scan a station QR code) and notification access (to send charging status and wallet alerts). You may grant or withdraw these permissions at any time through your device settings; withdrawing a permission may limit certain app features.

We will keep your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, respond to any queries or complaints, improve the automotive or charging services that we offer to you, or comply with any legal and regulatory obligations to which we are subject in the UAE. This includes retaining AWR Automotive Charge+ charging session and transaction records for a period of 10 years as required applicable UAE tax and accounting record-keeping requirements after which such records will be securely deleted or anonymised. Personal Data belonging to you may be stored in on-premise systems or in approved cloud environments, provided that such environments meet our applicable security, privacy, and cross-border data transfer requirements, including those set out under UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

You may make the following requests to us, and we will do our best to accommodate them where feasible and legally permissible:

Access your data: Request a copy of the personal information that we process about you.
Rectify your data: Request us to amend, correct, or update your personal information where it is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erase your data: Request us to delete your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected.
Restrict your data: Request us to temporarily or permanently stop processing all or some of your Personal Data.
Object to data use: At any time, object to us processing your personal information where it is based exclusively on our legitimate corporate interests or for direct marketing purposes.

We are committed to protecting the information you provide us. We have implemented security policies, operational rules, and technical measures designed to protect the Personal Data under our control, in strict accordance with applicable UAE data protection laws. Our security protocols are designed to prevent unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction, or accidental loss.

Where a Personal Data breach occurs that is likely to result in harm to you, we will notify the UAE Data Office and affected individuals without undue delay and in accordance with the timeframes required under PDPL Article 9.
While we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Accordingly, you acknowledge the inherent security risks associated with transmitting information electronically and are encouraged not to submit sensitive or confidential information through our Platforms unless specifically requested by us.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of your Personal Information arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, provided that we have implemented and maintained appropriate security measures as required under applicable law.

Our Platforms and application may provide links to third-party websites (including third-party charging network maps or booking pages) for your convenience. If you access those links, you will leave our Platforms. We do not control those external websites or their privacy practices, which may differ from ours. We do not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not cover the Personal Data you choose to provide to unrelated third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any company before submitting your personal information. We shall not be responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party websites or services linked to or from the Platforms. We disclaim all liability for the content and practices of websites or platforms operated by other entities.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to amend, modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes to our business, legal, regulatory or operational requirements, or for any other reason.
Any updated version of this Privacy Policy will be published on this page and will take effect immediately upon publication, unless otherwise stated. Where required by applicable law or where we consider the changes to be material, we may notify you of such changes by email, through our Platforms, or by any other appropriate means, including via in-app notice for AWR Automotive Charge+ users
